Choose A Unique Backsplash

Make A Statement With Lighting

Designer Tab mounted a pair of pendant task lights to the right end of this cottage kitchen and closed to meet the dining table as a nod to outdoor dock lighting. 

The kitchen already has enough top cabinets, so this pendant light balances the space.

In this corner of photographer Stacey Brandford’s kitchen, a magnetic board is used to display family photos, artwork and quirky memorabilia, including a sign from Toronto landmark Honest Ed’s. A wave-patterned wallpaper is a nod to Stacey’s upbringing in Jamaica.

Homeowner and ceramicist would prefer to let all upper cabinets with all-white dishware collection pop against an exposed brick wall. Dining alongside the brick wall and under the falls of light.

To enhance the historical feel of this farmhouse, Oppein designer suggested this kind of industrial flooring, the frame of black and white.

The grey curtains own kitchen a worldly flavor, while the columnar porch door acts as an edgy showstopper in an otherwise pristine white space.
