Office in home ---Work can be easy for freelancers!

Hello every one! I’m Lisa Chen, and I am a freelancer. Now I manage a design studio with my friends. We received our first order in Peter’s dorm 3 years ago, and since now we afford to move into a bigger apartment, we decide to transform one of the rooms into a real office.

We started the interior decoration work immediately since we decided it. And guess what? It took us only 3 days to finish the whole project, now time to show our excellent office in home!

Our new office is composed of only 2 parts in all---office room and conference room. The office is where we spend the most time at work. It contains a long couch beside the balcony, a long work table, a couple of chairs, a bookshelf and four base cabinets for daily storage.

We chose the long worktable because it’s convenient for communication during work. Besides, compared to separate tables for individuals, a long table can save a lot of space, and we indeed find it more efficient and interesting, when working together on a long table.

When choosing chairs, what’s important is to make sure they are comfortable, easy to move and clean. Believe me, it will get you rid of much subsequent work in future.

Billy proposed a long sofa with cushions by the window, we all agreed at once---who will say no to a cozy long couch where you can have a coffee while enjoying beautiful view outside, or even take a nap when tired?

If you like, you can add a shelf for storage or works exhibition, maybe an electronic display for business presentation.

Decorate work table with some green plants, flowers or creative decorations would be great, these vigorous little things will always cheer you up.

If you think an office room is too dull, or you’ve got enough space, you can add a conference room like we did. Since we should meet clients from time to time, a clean and elegant meeting room is very useful. Also, we could hold internal meetings here, or just have a coffee and chat freely when taking a rest.

Well, you may think our office is so large that take up a big part of the house, and you just want a small office in home for personal use. Well, here is a small office of Jack, he works for a company, so he just spares a small space under the stairs to make it a mini office. It costs very little---just a work table, a pair of chairs. Now he can leisurely check his e-mails, and do some reading here on Sunday morning.

In fact, a mini office doesn’t have to be large or require an extra room, it can be a corner of living room or a bedroom, a small storage room, or an attic---it can be anywhere you like.

Spare a space specially, so you can dive into a professional business or learning despite all the chaos outside, work can be an easy and delightful things to freelancers here, and so to you! The key is just to arrange space flexibly, and put your laptop on it---then there it is!
